Can we do a magical Christmas/Solstice/New Year Lottery/Raffle?

I’d like to have some massive community event around Christmas / Solstice / New Year. I’m leaning towards a group of lotteries / raffles.

I’ve not got too many ideas, so if anyone would like to help expand on this concept that would be fantastic.

I think cash (ICA, NCC, CIS) and materials could be donated / pledged as prizes. We could sell tickets for entries.

My initial thoughts are to have

  1. A grand pool consisting of all cash donations
  2. 4 lottery/raffle pools with 10%, 15%, 25%, 50% of the grand pool allocated as prizes
  3. 6 winners per pool, each getting 40%, 25%, 15%, 5%, 5%, 5%, 5% respectively.
