I plan on holding Yippy Auctions weekly, with auctions ending on Sunday night PDT time.
To bid, post buy orders on the local market in the lot sizes announced in site owners chat of the planet, which I announce on fridays.
If you win an auction, pay first then I will fulfill.
Competing sellers are welcome to snipe high bidders. I place no restrictions on what is done with the items I sell. I encourage reselling for a profit.
I’m very hesitant to call this “price discovery” yet.
As one of the auction winners who received a massive amount of goods for pennies, I suspect most of these prices are artificially low for two big reasons:
1- size - I purchased over 3000t for 15 ICA… the sheer volume may naturally deter some who does want the good, but simply didn’t have the space and couldn’t free up that much space in 24hrs
2 - awareness. The planet I won my auction on isn’t well populated and rarely has much planet chat. This was also the first time. Even though I bid (and won) my auction, I had NO IDEA that the same thing was occurring on other planets… and it turns out, I actually have bases on literally every planet you did the auction on.
Now, that said, I really want to say I have a ton of respect for you following through and providing the goods for even a tiny bid. I also think the concept is quite a good one - understanding the real value of a good in specific places of the galaxy is quite useful and I will be watching these closely in the future. Now that you’ve done it once I think awareness will start to rise for the next round - but I do think you need to size it down a bit.

A bid is a 3 day delivery with the right lot size and currency. I can’t do 20 day deliveries, I have to clear my inventory out every week for most of my colonies.
Winning Bidders pay first before I fulfill.
Bidding on auctions and not paying will get you put on the public Yippy™ Naughty List which I publish weekly in the auction results and will carry that list over to when the game reaches 1.0. Being put on the list will get your bids ignored by me on all future Yippy Weekend Auctions.
If the lot sizes are too big, or you can not post ads on the local market, contact a site owner who can act as a broker. They may charge you for their services. If you are interested in acting as broker contact me and I will list your name in future auction posts.
Competing sellers are welcome to snipe high bidders.
Winning bidders are encouraged to resell for a profit, either on the local market(s), or Commodity Exchange(s). No restrictions where the materials end up. Win items and cut them up to smaller lots for a profit, or sell high during the mid-week in between auctions.

I took a break from PU for Thanksgiving. Auctions will commence as usual on Sunday. I have sold some H2O onto the Etherwind and Boucher markets to help alleviate supply issues, if there are any.
