General Notes
If your APEX console is stuck in a loading state after the update, please make sure to refresh it once after the update to ensure you got the latest version.
New features
Mission planning
To lay the technical foundation for the upcoming gateway release, we reworked the mission planning system. The changes are mostly technical, so ideally you should not notice any changes during mission planning and flight execution. If so, please let us know.
Changes
We increased the starting capital of new companies to account for inflation:

Increased faction contract rewards
Changed the SYSI command to include planet fertility and environment data:
Increased the maximum deadline for multi-item contracts to 99 days
The deadline to extend failing contracts has been extended to 72h
Ships in the FLT command are now sorted by name first and then registration, allowing to change their order by adjusting the names accordingly
Increased the data retention for commodity exchange brokers to one year and added a new “1y” period to the charts. Note: We don’t have historical data, so the graphs will initially not go back that far.
Shipment inventory items now show where they’re supposed to be shipped:
Love the update, especially the recipe selection marking missing materials. Would you be open to doing a strikethrough styling on the missing ingredient number, in addition to the current red, to support colorblind players?
That is a good idea, but just doing it for the production recipes is probably not enough. It should rather be a global setting and improve readability generally. In case you are colorblind, are there any other components in the game that are hard to read for you?
When are you going to do something about existing accounts with usernames beginning and ending with non-alphabetical characters that always sort to the tops of lists, break @ tagging in the game’s communications channels, and subtly ruin text alignment in various game interfaces? I don’t want to see that anymore and it’s irritating enough to make me not want to play at all. A certain such pathologically unique username is basically unavoidably everywhere; it needs to be changed to look and work as a word like everyone else’s.
I appreciate the reply, and I agree that a global approach would be very helpful. The color-coding of commodities (RAT vs MCG vs STR) is often difficult to scan and get a sense of commodity groupings. Small icons (or special unicode characters) could help detect groups and quickly check inventories.
I know that might be a controversial suggestion, as there aren’t really icons used elsewhere. If anything, alternate color schemes could be helpful too, to rely less on colors that the common forms of colorblindness cannot perceive (red/green for Protanopia, for example).
