Question on weights

So the last feedback I see is 2021 on weights. Yes I read all the feedback threads from Devs and players alike. And it seems the restarting the whole world phase seems to not be happening. Taking that into account where some weights like Gold are incredibly accurate per tonne to FEO which is far off the path of accurate and should be more along the lines of limestone.
Are there plans to make some of these a bit more balanced in the future or has all the fiddling been done that will be done.
Also from a design part on the game and the very complex fuel and gravity for movement with damage included why didn’t you guys just make weight something that costs more fuel to move instead of using it as a measure of load size.
What a mean is a ship that carries 1000 1m3 of FE can also Carry 1000 1m3 of AL as its all 1m3. The difference should have been the fuel cost and getting up to speed not a limit on weight?
Just curious and hoping for some explanations. No this not a complaint just an inquiry as to where things are compared to 3 years ago.

I’m no rocket scientist, but I suspect the issue is that - if you try to model the physics accurately, the cost of taking metals out of a gravity well quickly becomes prohibitive in terms of fuel. For context, the payload capacity of a 2024 reusable Falcon Heavy to geosynchronous orbit is about 8 tonnes. That’s 1m3 of FE.

If the game did this properly, then fuel costs would vary wildly. You could ship H back and forth for a month on a single tank of fuel, or spend the entire tank in one go to send 1m3 of FE on a single trip.

So making the weight calculations more realistic is not a high priority goal.
