So i just added 3 months to my account. i was at 6D and change we can ignore the hours for this.
Its now at 98 Days.
I mentioned it in Global and another player (dpjollygreen) thought maybe its following the months to come…
Is this the case?
I was expecting it to be a simple 30D/Month purchase.
If its following months then how is that factored in when buying 3 months and giving a bunch away to buy 3 more months to bring your account up. Means i shouldn’t buy time in DEC/JAN and give any away as i would be penalized to replace it if need to buy FEB twice…
So chances are i’m missing some simple fact to make this happily math out to me, What is it?
Also yeah i have missed this days thing all the other times i have bought pro lol
Initially (as in: several years ago at this point), the license periods were indeed multiples of 30 days. But for reasons I can’t quite remember, we switched it to actual months. So if you buy an extension at the 15th of a given month, all future extensions will always extend to the 15th of the following month.
Somewhat unintuitive but logical things will happen if one buys a subscription between the 29th and 31st, but it’s all based on standard “date and calendar” libraries that I didn’t (and wouldn’t ever) write myself
Hope this answers your question.
Seems like that would of been fine
now you’ve added the ability to give away days. If someone where to give a month in a short month like feb they are getting punished for doing so due to the increased cost of days verses January or march.
I guess the simplest is to never give away time then its not a problem.
