In a chat panel, if you type something along the lines of “DW.NC1 will bring up the material at the specified exchange” and then mouseover the ticker to click it for yourself (this often happens in notes self messages where its frequently just the tickers), you’ll get the ‘delete’ button showing up right at the start of the message.
Since this is where the DW.NC1 ▲ was before, its not uncommon for people to accidentally delete the message.
Suggestion: Have the ‘delete’ button for self deleting messages be when hovering over your username rather than the message. The delete button would then shift left the user name (rather than shift right the message).
