I would like to thank the developers at Prosperous Universe for an enjoyable 4 months of gaming, for the dedication to your audience, and wish you the best.
That being said, I am not going to be able to continue with Prosperous Universe. Mainly due to personal issues which are stretching my gaming time to a minimum and that time that I do have I want to spend on an upcoming title, that is launching in a few days with persistence, and I have been looking forward to for a couple years now.
I do agree, at least to me, the main thing the game needs now is more players and f2p will probably help with that. I know I’m probably in the minority, but, f2p just puts a sour taste in my mouth and with the announcement it is kinda the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I’m not a business person or a software developer, but my parting advice would be to develop the game for the mobile market, not just the pc market. I think you would find a much larger audience and believe mobile devices could handle running the game just fine. I know it would work much better for my life schedule.
Maybe, once my personal time line changes and persistence is establish, I might revisit your product.
Thanks so much and again, good luck to you,
Lheiah
@Lheiah thanks for playing Prosperous Universe! It is always sad to see players leave, but I can relate to the reasons mentioned. PrUn will probably not be released as a native mobile app, but mobile support is on the roadmap. If our fund application is granted we might even have a budget for it. Until now we chose to implement new features over making it mobile-compatible. Take care!
Game does work for mobile quite fine. I use to check from work orders and queue up stuff or buy/sell products. I can’t say it’s like Diablo for mobile or Mario but definitely works.
Good luck to you!
Not sure what you mean Free-2-play just means that you can play the game with a limited feature set when you decide not to pay. upgrading a licence will always be possible and we will keep the current support tiers at least through Early Access, if not beyond (we’re officially in “First Access” right now).
I’ve always thought that we would not be able to control the 3 hub planets but would gain revenue from fees on comex outside the hubs. The devs plan to introduce player built comex, and I’d be completely ok with fees being charged on them.
