Inventory Partitions

PrUn is often a very collaborative game. The community has invented and implemented concepts such as co-ops and banks among other things. And many have longstanding deals with other local companies for the regular exchange of materials. Organizations like the BEU or ADI that offer grants to new players and pool resources for cooperative projects, still have to store their materials somewhere, despite them not exactly belonging to a single individual. Due to how much overlap there is between one company and the other, or even between individual bases belonging to the same company, having a single inventory partition or entity seems insufficient.

I am proposing adding the feature to partition out an existing warehouse to act as its own storage entity. If I have 100k t/m of warehouses on BEN, I’d like to be able to partition out say 20k t/m to be able to differentiate between materials that are mine and materials I have earmarked for someone else perhaps, or materials belonging to a cooperative I may be a participant in.

The game has various inventory related features such as “Unload” or CX exchanges. I would propose having a default inventory which these functions default to. Perhaps it could be a dropdown on the inventory buffer where you could select the “active” or “default” inventory.
