Inactive Account Liquidation for Basic License

Just learned about this mechanic after logging back into the game after a year. Checking my email, I do see the liquidation notice but since it came in at 7AM on a Saturday I wasn’t looking at my email and by the time I did it was buried in between Jimmy John’s and Uber Eat’s promotional emails.

I maintained a PRO license for several months. So it just feels really bad to log in and have absolutely nothing after paying the company. I don’t know what data storage rates are like but it seems like twenty or thirty bucks would cover a few hundred database rows.

Maybe in the future this could be limited to just accounts that have never subbed. I imagine that makes up the vast majority of abandoned accounts, and that way customers who have paid in the past are more likely to renew their sub if they do come back after a long break.

I believe that this is done because of the limited number of plots on each planet, theres no reason for the game devs to let planets fill up endlessly with AFK players, it will just result in new players being pushed away from good planets in the center of the universe, to far away planets with less optimal materials and shipping times.
