So. The idea.
Hyper Ring Nidavellir.
Built around gas giants. HOT gas giants.
It is a massive construction project, the biggest in the universe.
Stage one. Assemble station. Just planetary project moderate expensive cost in L-R-Fabs.
Stage two. Planetary embrace wires.
Done in two sub stages. First you need bring construction parts, something to represent wire(MCT???, or new materia to produce), then we need feed station infrastructure like POPI, to actually progress the building process.
Stage three. Planet ring core frame.
L-fabs a lot of L-fabs or hull plates. Anything to represent light and sturdy material(remember we need a tons of it and we still need to feed ring “POPI” analogue)
Stage four. Planet ring thermal Siphon.
Heat resistant construction parts, and probably R-Fabs to represent parts that are actually in close contact with the atmosphere. Again, building process moving only with “POPI” being feed.
After this part ring provides 2.5% bonus to metallurgy system wide. Doubled for planet where builded.
Stage five. Core drills.
Again heat resistant materials. Plus something to represent materials what can resist extreme pressure(Like HSE what we have). And materials to represent the “Drills” something advanced, preferably new items. As usual “POPI”.
5% bonus to metallurgy system wide. Doubled on planet where builded.
Additionaly 5% to raw resource extraction on planet where builded.
Stage six. Ego.
Massive amount of B-L-FABS (Or make new S-FABS, (Space grade construction materials)) additionally something to represent artificial, human made environment. Again to progress building process we need “POPI”. That stage should be fairly long. After all, we building the god damm ring around the planet.
Bonuses provided
System wide to metallurgy +7.5% Doubled on planet.
On the planet where builded +10% to raw resource extraction.
System wide +2.5% bonus to any industry (except metallurgy and extraction) chosen via motion on planet where ring builded.
After this stage this planetary project can be colonized. To be able to do it, player need to receive permission from the planetary government, via motion.
And that type of base should have or another permit pool like you can colonise hyperstructure every 3/5/7/10 permits + 1 free from beginning, Or when when we hit 3/5/7/10 permit level first time we get 2, next 3/5/7/10 levels we get 1.
Players shouldn’t be able to use their 20 permits to colonize 20 megastructures.
That structure after colonizing provides extreme deposits of gas. Like double or even triple what we have on planet belove. But expences on keeping that structure running compared to what we have at planets should be not triplet but probably even more, im not math guy, and i see how i can damage new players what try to mine gas. It should be reliable source of gas for old players, when they need a lot of it.
As on normal gas mining planet with raw resource CoGC and 5 experts we have near 10-20/u(plus 1-2.5/u from taxes)cost for unit of gas mined(this is rough math, don’t bite me for mistakes.)
That structure in my mind should produce a lot of gas. 5k of AMM per day? Easy.
For balance purposes upkeep should be fairly expensive. So when each unit of gas will cost 20-30/u + 5-10/u of taxes, we have still profitable base, and tons of gas.
I have no idea how it can affect market, i didn’t checked my math, so if someone have something to say, say it. It just idea after all.
