Hidden system? or just bugged?

Is there something wrong in the image?

I think they’re showing a travel-lane between systems, but from a system with no dot indicator. They’re asking if it’s a hidden star-system, or if it’s just a bug with the map rendering.

That’s just the way the map is. For some systems the blue ring is directly around the system’s dot. For other systems (like this one) the blue ring is off to the side and there is a small line from the center of the blue ring to the system’s dot to indicate which system the blue ring is identifying.

So no, the blue ring in the image is not highlighting a “hidden system”.

The star systems exist in three-dimensional space and can be rotated. The blue rings show its position on a two-dimensional plane, and the line there reflects its displacement on the Z-axis.

How would those theories fit into seeing this?

Wait, nevermind- I see it now. For some reason I thought Drafan’s theory about the travel lanes was correct, I think the Z-axis theory is correct.

Sorry for being dumb, but thanks for clearing it up!
