The “New and Unread” part of the website which appears below every post sometimes shows very old posts, if you’ve read enough. There needs to be a time limit on how old posts there can get.
I understand you haven’t been keen on some of these replies, BraveCaperCat, but bragging about getting posts flagged is pretty poor forum etiquette.
As far as the mechanics of the forum go, these are pretty standard message board features. You have seen old posts in the unread section because you already read everything new. This forum isn’t active enough to have a constant supply of fresh new posts for you.

Maybe this was mentioned in one of the redacted posts but I think this is just a misunderstanding of what “new and unread” means. It does not mean ‘new messages that you have not read’. It means ‘new messages and also messages that you have not read’. No matter how old a message is, if you haven’t read it before then it counts as “unread”.
The forum works as intended. We don’t have that many new topics, so the “new” ones can really be “old”.
