How are there 5 votes in this election when there are only 4 bases on the planet?
Possibly a base that got torn down.
That would be the most likely explanation but there is no record that I can see of a 5th base being created/torn down. Valencia (who received 2 votes) set up his base (base #4) just 3hrs before the election ended.
You can cast votes for multiple people.
Two people could have voted for Ogrebeef-Backkicker and Valencia_Minh and one person voted for jhim.mhorrison. Three people voting, five total votes cast.
The “Total” line is a misleading artifact from the single non-transferable vote period that doesn’t mean what it says with multiple approval voting.
Ok. I recall multiple approval voting being suggested but I didn’t realize it had been implemented.
