Consider this draft shipping contract:
How much will I pay to have someone ship these two items?
It looks like 50 CIS, but it’s actually 50 per item (so 100 CIS total)
This has confused me and several other experienced players and so I think there is room for improvement:
- Shipping fees are widely based on total weight/volume (which we can see here), not the individual items, so trying to compute the shipping fee for the individual item doesn’t make sense.
- In a multi-item contract, it’s not possible to accept only part of the contract – you have to do it all or none of it. So why pay for each item individually?
I propose two possible changes:
- The “Price” field be renamed to “Total price” and have it actually be the total price for the entire contract (preferred approach)
- The “Price” field be renamed to “Price per commodity” and have it continue work as it does today (less preferred approach)
