Bugs and Improvements

It’s the same for me.

My inventory values jump all over the place. deep negative to positive. unreleated to what I have in stock.

while I have a lot of inventory, there is just no logic. goods get taken out at (much) higher value then it is put in.

Goods that you produce have zero value according to the financial statements until they are sold. Even if the inputs they were produced with do have value.

I know, but having negative inventory is impossible. That is like saying 2+2 =5 just because we designed it that way.
So if it is not a bug it is a (request) for improvement. My inventory has been negative voor over a week.

I started producing fuel a few weeks ago and now also my fuelcost have dropped from 25K-30K a week to 2-3K a week. While I fly the same amount.
Those are wierd movements that should be corrected at some point.

I agree that inventory probably should never be negative. But beyond that: Fuel you produced yourself can’t reasonably be valued at a “proper” price. Zero is the simplest objective value to give your own production. There might be a valid argument to at least value it at production cost, but that won’t change much because production cost in PU is pretty low compared to market prices. All other proposals lead to different issues and just make the system more complex without significant improvement (which will be a pain to explain to people in chat compared to now…).

The fact that inventory and buildings values can go negative probably is a specific bug.

The fact that the financials screen in general is misleading and nobody really uses it is… well, it’s not “by design” since the devs didn’t deliberately design something that is useless, but I expect they threw together the financials screen for the initial MVP launch of the game, and they haven’t revisited it yet because it’s low priority compared to other game features. So basically you should ignore the financials screen for now.

Hello, I need help. Since the last few hours, Apex stopped working for me completely. It starts loading, but at one point it turns into white screen of death with some console errors.

I tried to run it on a different browser, to exclude caching issues, but it also didn’t work. Below is a screenshot with errors. Did anyone encounter something like this?

Added: Even the steam version doesn’t work. I’m completely unable to play right now :frowning: .

Anyone? I’m completely unable to play for the last few days.

The game has been working fine for me. Have you tried a full browser refresh? (Ctrl+F5 on a PC) Have you tried a different device?

Also, if you can get to the Prosperous Universe website home page, you could try logging out of your account and then logging in again.

Not sure what else to suggest, sorry. The devs were on vacation this week, but they might be back on Monday, and could look at it then if you are still having this issue.

Sorry, I am still on parental leave. It seems that there is a problem with having a ship in orbit around a star or planet in your case. Haven’t had the time to look into it, but when I land the ship it seems to work again. Please refrain from parking ships in any orbits for now.

Thanks! Sure thing  . I’ll wait for allowance to park.

Shipping ads should be visible on the source, and destination LM’s.

Simple idea. I can sell the benefits I think it brings, but otherwise just gonna leave it here.

Hi! I think I tickled a bug. I have a shipping contract, XNU93QR, which I had posted and forgot to set to auto-provision. Someone picked up the contract but had to leave before I could provision it manually. They requested a termination of the contract. I sent back my corresponding termination request, no harm no foul.

Since the cargo was never provisioned, I expected it to still be sitting in my inventory. If it’s there, I’m not seeing it in Apex.

On the off chance that it matters, posting the ad and requesting termination (on my side, at least) was done through the mobile interface.

Thanks!

Edit: I will concede that I’m not 100% certain now that it has been questioned that the cargo was available to begin with. If I’m the only person to report something like this, then you’re welcome to ignore me instead of chasing problems that exist between the chair and keyboard.

$1 million isn’t “that” much money anymore. Posting again to see if we can get this limit raised or removed!

It would be nice if #server-status on discord reported when the server was back online after an announced downtime.
Save all the hastle of trying to access Apex then having to ask if it’s down, being pointed to #server-status and then having to repeatedly retrying in the hopes it has turned back on in the last 2 minutes since you last checked. … it’s a little frustrating.

You are right, I added a ticket for that.

Not sure if this is where one should report bugs. Please point me right if I’m wrong, cheers.

There is a weird situation with the CAP.AI1 ticker right now. The ask is 130, which is reasonable, but trying to buy at that price gives you the “outside the broker’s price band” warning dialog thing. Which means you can’t actually buy any CAP if all you have is a basic license (nor sell, at least not for a reasonable price). I don’t think this is expected behaviour?

It is expected behavior. The trouble is because it’s such a thinly traded market, the last_price is 13 AIC. Which possibly was just some internal corp trade for ultra-cheap prices. Trouble is, that’s insanely cheap. 1\10th the current price. So yeah the price-band protections step in due to the discrepancy.

However that impacts you, the person, who can’t buy it without a PRO license due to these fat-finger and also manipulation protections.

I bought some CAP to reset the last_price for you. You should be able to buy it now.

It doesn’t really come up very often, but perhaps some better logic in the price band calculation that isn’t entirely basing it on last_price. Perhaps some weighted moving average to smooth these things out.

I cannot repair my ship.

EDIT:

  1. The repairs need to be done at a base with the materials in the base inventory

Can repair a ship at a base, but cannot repair it at a shipyard.

There appears to be a bug in the LM posting process.
Posted a buy order on the LM but was unable to fulfil for some reason, on checking it turns out I had no warehouse on planet.
I had previously rented a warehouse there but had at some point unrented it, this didn’t flag up when posting.
