I’m not sure if this is a bug. A player cannot demolish a building if production is halted (when there is no more consumables). If a player is completely bankrupt, he should be able to demolish his buildings and sell it for parts.
Hmm, that’s a good point. Right now the behavior is intentional: the current running order cannot be cancelled, so it also cannot be cancelled by demolishing a building.
Maybe we should make all orders cancellable and refund a certain percentage of the the outcome / input materials similar as we do now with the building costs of buildings.
We’ll have to discuss that in the next team meeting.
This would be an extremely helpful addition in my eyes. Apart from solving the demolition problem, it would result in fewer frustrating experiences for new players, who often set their first order to run for several days without realizing what they’re doing.
This specific problem happened for me on my first play through which led to me liquidating.
