Email notifications are almost really useful e.g. use case ping my phone when a ship arrives and there’s cargo to process.
But they only say “there are n new notifications for you.” not the actual notifications, so if you have multiple enabled you don’t know which ones happened. Do I need to rush to a computer? Or just want know x has happened? No way to tell.
Something as simple as this would be a huge improvement:
And if it’s selectable (by ul tag, id attribute, etc.) it’s easy to plug into all sorts of things, like a private discord server, which would make my day.
There’s probably a broader discussion to be had about notifications generally, push, integrations, webhooks, etc. but this could be a faster path to 80/20 the problem.
And more people using a feature = bigger pool of people for product discovery.
