A serious concern about dev's behavior

Hi there. I have been told in the recent days about the AncientGreekRenowned’s episode (AGR) and what it entails for the community. I wanted to raise here my concern over the topic.

Through a friend, I had a conversation with him, he told me that MUSK and AGR were being chased down by some of the highest players in the game, and expulsed from Discord forums just by their opinions and form of governance.

Furthermore, AGR got recently deleted from the game. I couldn’t find the info about what are the deliberations of the dev team about this, nor any concrete proof of his faults, nor any information about this. He showed me some screenshots that showed no evidence of warning from the dev team and no justification at all for his mutes/ban in the game. However, I can find multiple examples of harassment from others in the chats about MUSK and AGR concretely.

As a new player that has already paid for PRO (1 month), it is incredibly concerning that this could happen. It turns out that in other sci-fi games, it exists the probability of being ostracized or aligned against the community’s opinion. But devs are usually away of that. Does it mean that devs play a role in the configuration and development of this Universe? Do they favor some players against others? I am getting regretful of having paid without knowing much info about this, but here is my claim so that others could take notes of it. A clarification should help players take an informed decision whether to keep playing and paying for the game, or to raise a constructive claim over the topic.

Thank you very much.

AGR has on many occasions shown an unfriendly, aggressive and offensive tone in conversations in-game and in various Discords. For this they got muted or banned on almost all major PrUn-related Discords.

Even after speaking to them multiple times the behavior did not change. Us muting them in-game and in the forums was a warning and it even came with the note that subsequent failures to behave according to the rules will have them banned. I also repeated that in a private message.

The behavior did not stop, so the ban followed.

I can also add the exploitation of bugs to the list, which is also not permitted, as to the rules.

As the developers we do favor some players over the other: the ones that stick to the rules. Also, as developers, we reserve the right to decide who can use our service (the game) and who can not. To make this clear: under normal circumstances everyone can play, but if someone (repeatedly) violates rules we take a closer look. For example I have deleted 100s or even 1000s of multi-accounts in the past. This is something we don’t accept in any form. From the top of my head I don’t remember a case like AGR’s. We do not ban people lightly and we do not ban people for “the wrong opinions”. There is no single “side” to the community. There are many play-styles and many opinions on almost all topics. As developers we encourage that, as long as the discussion and actions taken stay within the bounds of the rules.
