A little suggestion for a possible QoL improvement

Hi everyone, I love this game more than any other game. Today I got an idea might be a good little addition to the game, it’s about;
System avoid lists for travelling, to elaborate it; imagine that you are going to Z system from X system but Y system on the way has dense micrometeorid fields and will damage your ship badly, you put Y system on your avoid list so it will avoid that nasty system with micrometeorids.
Some more additions to this, if the desired system is unreachable because of the user’s avoid list; it will warn the user in Ship Flight Control buffer. System Avoid List will also be available in Ship Flight Control buffer, and will be set per-ship basis not on global scale because some ships might have better protection against enviromental hazards while others may not.
So this is the end of my little suggestion. Let me know if it’s a good suggestion or not.

I’m not sure if this would be very effective at reducing damage to ships. Most micrometeorite damage is taken during STL flight. STL flight only happens in the origin system and the destination system. It seems likely that the damage taken during the (relatively brief) charge time would not be decreased by flying further, which would increase the total charge time.

Ah I see, I’ve thought the damage received is at system level, like as soon you enter the system you started getting damaged, yeah in that case it won’t do much to save the ship :slight_smile:

Aside from that, we’re looking to make our flights shorter not longer. Hence the new Gateways.
