There are now 10 planets above the plot limit

I think your 3 biggest planets shouldn’t be counted to not effectively throw out players out of the core systems. (Promitor has over 2000 used plots which would be a severe cost for players with HQ 30+)

(Why did it give me this message as “new”??)

I would love to have a base on Montem. I was a bit too late for it (I recall starting to look at chem and realizing that Montem was at +50 at the time). I had a base in a box in a warehouse there for a long time in case it ever dipped.

If I could bid on a plot that would give me a base on Montem, I would… and I presume that would boot some player who is doing less optimal production off the planet when their lease expires. A high profit chem world takes a lot of money to put down the plan and keep the workforce for LABs and AMLs running… but I’ve got the funds to do it.

I’m not sure that would be a good experience for a trial license player running a profitable FLX setup with some EXTs and a few CHPs to suddenly find themselves booted off the world 6 months later.

Pushing new players out to the further parts of the core ring means that they’re on planets with increased startup costs and stretched logistics.

Likewise, taxing based on what could be done on Montem would bankrupt that EXT and CHP setup.

I’m brand new signed up yesterday and would be fine being banished to the outskirts among the poor and unwashed, would give added depth to the game and a goal to work towards. Your point about the added expense sounds like an issue though, would need to allow upwards mobility for new players.
