I think it would be best to first test PvE combat and concentrate it into a closed enviroment (void sectors) so that if weird things happen nobody except the people that opted in are effected. A side effect would be that it would make void sectors interesting again because of new and higher yield taps in the new systems.
These would be a no from me or at least a very big opt-in.
