My two cents: PVE would be interesting, PVP would kill the game. Having military engagements as a resource sink and additional manufacturing tree, especially if it could be oriented toward the mid game, would be very interesting and I think very fun to a lot of players. A while ago, I made the following suggestion, I think something like it would create enough variety and excitement for players while not creating the problems we have seen with direct PVP competition.
